It is no news that Nigerian music heavyweights, Davido and Wizkid who are steady coursing on their career objective of taking African music to the world, are cut at each others throats again.
Like in previous times, the controversy ensued from social media utterances in the form of maniacal tweet attacks targeted subtly at both personalities. This was stemmed as a result of the silent feud from last week over who actually honed the #1 spot on the top songs category on iTunes.
Both stars who are enjoying an impressive and appreciable international acclaim following their recent music releases, have begun to hash out their protracted beef online. Things degenerated fast with the OBO being called names, who in turn didn’t take the Starboy’s shot any lightly.
The rivalry that exists between DMW boss, Davido and Starboy Wizkid has gone far back as 5 years now. The two music stars have often been compared to each other on a variety of occasions. However, this time their rivalry is back in the news over whose song is number 1 on iTunes chart music store.
Earlier today, ‘Wizkidnews’, an Instagram account dedicated to promoting everything Wizkid, shared a picture showing the singer’s latest song, African Bad Girl featuring Chris Brown ranked as number one.
Few hours later Davido also shared a post he titled ‘2017 top story!!’, the post shows a chart where his song FALL came in as number one, disabling comments on the post, for reasons we are yet to understand.
